CHURCH OF AGHIOS GEORGIOS (St. George) and AGHIOI ANARGYROI (Holy Unmercenaries)

The church was build in 1998 with donations by the Papageorgiou Foundation, based on the design of architect Vasilis Papas. The majestic mural paintings that decorate the interior of the Church were painted by the Teacher of hagiographic art Kostas Georgiadis, with the kind sponsorship of Mr. Prodromos Emfietzoglou.

On 19 March 2000, the inauguration of the Church was carried out by the Metropolitan of Neapoli and Stavroupoli Dionysios, who is currently diseased.

The chapel is a place of worship and prayer for patients, their visitors and employees of the Hospital. The chapel does not only operate on the most significant holidays of Christianity and on the name day of Saints, to whom the church is dedicated, but also throughout the year with scheduled Services and Divine Liturgies.

The Holy Metropolis of Neapoli and Stavroupoli within the framework of its wider pastoral ministry and ecclesiastical offerings, has been active for years through the Revered Metropolitan Mr. Varnavas, who often visits our Hospital with his priests and officiates services in order to strengthen and bless worshipers.

The staff of the Hospital is present at the services of the Church, where they chant hymns under the instructions of the priest, archimandrite Georgios Dimopoulos.
